Shear cutting
Your advantages at a glance:
- In cases where all you require is a simple straight cut, such as with metal strips, the most cost-effective option is still to cut the metal with sheet metal shears.
- While this slightly crushes the cut edge, there is no thermal effect, so that any machining is not a problem.
- As well as straight 3 or 4 metre cutting lengths, smaller parts an be cut on the notching machine, or profiles can even be sheared off .
- For large series we also have 2 slit strip processors (up to 120 strokes per minute), which are also able to shear off production parts at high speed.
Our Service
- Our shears also operate in shifts and on most Saturdays. This ensures speedy delivery of all your urgently needed cut parts and components.
- We stock a range of sheet metal thicknesses, from 0.5 to 8 (10) mm, as well as quarto plates in material thicknesses up to 15 mm in 1.4301/1.4307, 1.4404/1.4571 and lean duplex stainless steel 1.4362.
- 24-hour service for smaller order quantities available on request.
- For strip cutting where the cut edges are not subject to any particular quality requirements, the most cost-effective means of production is still to cut the strips with sheet metal shears
Our sheet metal shears can cut stainless steel up to a material thickness of 16 mm and standard steel up to 20 mm. During the cutting process, the cut metal strips are immediately straightened. The sheet metal shears shown here can handle formats up to 2000 x 4000 mm. However, it can also handle lengths in excess of 4000 mm. Our notching machines can shear off stainless steel sheet thicknesses of up to 10 mm and 90° corners with leg lengths 290/290 mm. Our section shears are able to chop off round steel up to 45 mm in diameter, flat steel with a material thickness up to 20 mm and angled profiles with dimensions up to 120/120/12 mm. Maximum width of the flat profiles is 500 mm.
