Modersohn is already well-known as a supplier of laser-cut blanks. However, the work does not end with laser cutting. And that is why it has now invested in one of the most cutting-edge grind-de-burring systems in Europe. It has 8 grinding units that can be individually controlled. 4 at the top and 4 at the bottom. This enables the sheet metal to be de-burred on both sides simultaneously in a single operation. Furthermore, the design of the grinding units is such that they can perfectly process even the most complex of hole types. Abrasive fleeces ensure that rough grinding is automatically followed by fine machining. The surface of the entire blank can also be smoothed in a subsequent process, which further enhances the appearance of the metal and considerably increases its corrosion resistance.
