Flow forming
Your advantages at a glance:
Fast, cost-effective and stable! Round holes manufactured using the flow forming method are ideal for tapped holes and hole reinforcements in thin metal sheet. Just ask if you would like a small
sample of our products.
With high-speed pillar drilling machines, we can shape round holes with collar in thin sheet metals and thin-walled tubes. This provides excellent reinforcement for holes, which can then also be threaded in a further production step. Depending on the hole size, the collar is slightly higher and is generally suitable for a sufficient number of threads.
We can drill holes up to approx. D = 12 mm in sheet metal up to 2.0 mm thick.
Manual drilling and recessing still plays a key role in the production of one-off products and small batches with precise holes. With several pillar drilling machines that for hole diameters up to 50 mm we are able to produce extremely precise holes and recesses. We also have a variety of automation options that enable quick and cost-effective production of large-volume series, e.g. in flat bars. Please note that, in the case of counterboring for countersunk screws, due to a range of different standards and manufacturer versions of the countersunk head, we require exact information on the shape and size you require when placing your order. We therefore recommend that we also supply the matching screws with your order so that we can ensure an exact fit for the countersunk head. If this is not possible, it helps to have a sample or a dimensioned drawing for our fine adjustment.
