Split strip processing

Your advantages at a glance:

Are you looking for a manufacturer who can produce large quantities of special system components made from metal sheet quickly and cost-effectively? Then look no further! With our steel strip processing machines and progressive dies - stampings and mouldings with high repeatability are not a problem.

For large series, it is worthwhile making special tools. For large series of stainless steel components made from metal sheet, we use special split strip processing machines, which dispense with manual feeding, release and discharge of each product individually. These are mechanical or hydraulic presses that are combined with a special split strip decoiling and straightening system and a components collecting or coiling system.

With one stroke of the press, several operations are then performed at intervals of a second or less by the tools under the press. These tools are known as "progressive dies". It goes without saying that such tools are fairly elaborate and expensive to make. It is therefore only worthwhile making tools for series of at least several thousand units! This sort of tool manufacture is truly viable when processing tens or hundreds of thousands of components, as is the case with the fixing system parts supplied by our MFIXINGS sales division. However, even with these large production quantities, such machines operating in multiple shifts still have plenty of capacity, which enables us to offer comparatively low-cost production for your standard sheet metal parts.

Our systems operate mechanically and hydraulically. The hydraulic presses are ideal for more precise tasks, such as upsetting and embossing, and enable more efficient utilisation of flow processes in the material. By contrast, the mechanical presses are real "work horses", i.e. extremely durable and almost maintenance-free when producing stampings or bent parts at high production speeds.
Our presses operate at up to 120 strokes per minute and can process sheet metal up to 5 mm thick (e.g. Mat. 1.4301).

The split strip widths, and thus the widths of the workpieces, are limited to 250 mm. Lengthwise, it is of course possible to produce larger dimensions, depending on the particular part.
